A new hospitality venue opening in downtown San Francisco is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead day-to-day bar operations and help shape a vibrant new gathering place in the city.
This beautifully designed 20,000 sqft space will bring together great drinks, community energy, and memorable experiences — from daily service to curated events and member gatherings.
We're looking for a manager who thrives in hospitality, enjoys building strong teams, and takes pride in creating spaces where guests feel welcome and want to return.
The Bar Manager will report directly to Austin, who oversees the beverage programing and venue operations.
Responsibilities
The Bar Manager will oversee daily bar operations and ensure a polished, welcoming guest experience.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing day-to-day bar operations
• Hiring, training, and scheduling bartenders and barbacks
• Leading service and maintaining hospitality standards
• Executing events and member gatherings
• Coordinating with vendors and managing bar inventory
• Supporting private event sales and execution
• Maintaining organization and operational systems behind the bar
• Helping foster a strong, positive team culture
Ideal Candidate
The right candidate will:
• Have 3–5 years of bar or venue management experience
• Be comfortable leading high-volume service
• Be wine-curious and passionate about beverage culture
• Have experience with events or hospitality-driven spaces
• Enjoy building community-focused venues
• Be highly organized and calm under pressure
• Lead with professionalism, warmth, and hospitality
Schedule
Tuesday – Sunday
Flexible hours depending on service and events
Typical service hours: 11 AM – 9 PM
Compensation & Benefits
$65k-$75k depending on experience
