Job Overview

Client is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced manufacturing equipment in its cutting-edge battery factories. This role focuses on improving battery architecture, reliability, and cost—key challenges in the advancement of electric vehicles. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment on innovative manufacturing systems that support high-volume battery production.


Key Responsibilities


  • Define equipment requirements and develop initial design concepts.
  • Design and develop new manufacturing equipment for high-volume production environments.
  • Prepare technical specifications and manage the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process for equipment suppliers.
  • Lead and manage projects from concept development through production launch.
  • Oversee detailed design and engineering of new manufacturing systems.
  • Develop and execute equipment validation and testing plans.
  • Coordinate factory readiness, equipment delivery, and installation activities.
  • Act as a lead manufacturing engineer or project manager for automated manufacturing equipment projects.
  • Support the transition of products from low-volume prototype builds to large-scale manufacturing.
  • Travel internationally up to 50% to support equipment development, supplier coordination, and factory launches.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience with mechanical design and layout development using CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of tolerancing and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment safety systems and standards.
  • Proven experience with new equipment installation and production line launches.
  • Experience implementing large-scale manufacturing lines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
