A well-known fashion brand is looking for a Merchandising Liaison – Kids Apparel to join their team in a unique, embedded role onsite in San Francisco. The team is adding a dedicated liaison to strengthen cross-functional collaboration and drive regional product strategy for the Kids category.
This consultant will blend consumer insights, market trends, and financial acumen to deliver compelling, brand-right assortments for Kids. They will partner closely with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, and Licensee teams to ensure cohesive execution and commercial success. Success in this role will be measured by maintaining a strong, mutually beneficial partnership and seamless alignment across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and present regional merchandising strategy aligned with brand vision and financial goals
• Lead seasonal line planning with balanced assortments across fits, styles, and price points
• Analyze historical performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions
• Monitor industry shifts and present insights during monthly and quarterly business reviews
• Work hands-on within systems to ensure data integrity
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution
Ideal Background:
• 4+ years of merchandising experience within apparel
• Experience in the Kids category preferred
• Vertical merchandising background
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience wearing multiple hats
• Strong communicator who can influence with clarity and empathy
