Job Details

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics
• 2–5 years of professional experience in product design, robotics, or industrial automation
• Strong proficiency in parametric 3D modeling
• Experience carrying a PCB design from schematic to manufacturing
• PLC programming and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, EtherCAT, or CAN)
• Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters) and shop tools (soldering, basic machining)
• Experience with 480 3ph and large battery systems
• Experience programming microcontrollers (C/C++) or Python scripting desired
• Familiarity with ROS is helpful
• Experience with regulatory certification (UL, CE, FCC) is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical mechanisms, enclosures, and robotic end-effectors
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings (GD&T), bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions
• Size and select electro-mechanical components such as motors
• Design and build test fixtures to validate mechanical life and reliability
• Design and layout mixed-signal PCBs for sensor interfacing, power management, and motor control
• Manage the PCBA fabrication process
• Design industrial cable harnesses and manage interconnects
