Facilities Maintenance

The role involves assisting in managing key site services across the factory and distribution center, including security, janitorial, waste removal, landscaping, and general support. You will ensure that the facilities calendar and work orders system are monitored and adhered to. Additionally, you will coordinate the scheduling and onsite logistics for facility vendors and perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of critical facility systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing key site services including security, janitorial, waste removal, landscaping, and general support.
• Ensure adherence to facilities calendar and work orders system.
• Coordinate scheduling and onsite logistics for facility vendors.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on critical facility systems such as air compressors, boilers, HVAC, plumbing, wastewater, and building infrastructure.
• Perform hands-on ongoing maintenance for the assets.

Essential Skills:

• Customer service orientation.
• Experience managing site services (security, janitorial, waste, landscaping, etc.).
• Technical skills in auxiliary equipment maintenance.
• Proven vendor management and project coordination skills.
• Experience with CMMS for preventive maintenance and asset tracking.
• Strong planning and organizing skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to flex hours as needed to address situational facility needs.
• Experience in food or other regulated business environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance roles, preferably in manufacturing or food production.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in plumbing, troubleshooting, and electrical maintenance.
• Experience working with executive teams and vendors.
• Flexibility to adjust hours based on facility needs.

Work Environment:

The role will be onsite, working across three separate buildings within a manufacturing environment. It is a day shift role from Monday to Friday, with start times typically at 7:30 AM, but flexibility is required to accommodate vendor schedules.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of San Leandro, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
