About the Role
The Company is actively seeking passionate and visionary individuals to join its Board of Trustees. This is an exciting time for our organization as we prepare for significant growth and expansion. New board members will play a critical role in shaping our mission, enhancing our impact, and creating a lasting legacy in gifted education. Candidates will collaborate with the Head of School to define and implement our long-term strategic plans, which include growth initiatives and facilities development.
Board members will also be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our mission, ensuring our financial sustainability, and providing essential leadership support and evaluation. Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in nonprofit leadership or board service, alongside a commitment to making a substantial annual financial contribution. A strategic and proactive approach to governance is essential.
We value individuals who are bold, intellectually engaged, and can thoughtfully challenge the status quo. The role requires a time commitment of 20-30 hours per quarter, which includes attendance at board meetings, participation in committees, and active involvement in fundraising events. While being located near the Greater Philadelphia area is preferred, we welcome candidates from other regions who can demonstrate their commitment and have strong networking capabilities.
