The Executive Director of Health IT Operations is responsible for aligning Health IT strategies with UCSF Healths goals, overseeing governance structures, and assists in the management of the IT portfolio to ensure operational and strategic excellence. This role will ensure that the strategic initiatives of the organization are prioritized effectively in collaboration with other IT and Operational leaders from across the organization. The Executive Director, Health IT Operations will also oversee the continual professional development and engagement of the Health IT staff and partners with leadership to address organizational and operational challenges. Additionally, they oversee the Health IT Project Management Office (PMO), manage change initiatives and ensure clear and effective communication across teams. By fostering cross-departmental collaboration and optimizing IT operations, this leader plays a pivotal role in advancing UCSF Healths mission and strategic priorities. The Executive Director will also champion continuous improvement of the departments efficiency and effectiveness to meet the evolving needs of UCSF Health.

As part of this commitment, most IT teams are expected to work in some capacity to support campus-based work. This senior management role will be expected to work onsite four days per week to meet operational and departmental needs.

The incumbent is a strategic business partner to the senior clinical, business, and operational leaders of UCSF Health, and with the research, teaching, and patient care missions of the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Dentistry as they relate to care delivery.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $300,000 - $340,000 (Annual Rate).
