Responsible for performing tasks involved in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Follows established procedures and verbal instructions. Maintains responsibility for accuracy of inventory balances and locations. Maintains high internal customer satisfaction with efficient and complete service and support.

This is a temporary assignment expected to last 3 months with the possibility of extension or permanent conversion.

Examines, counts, and sorts items; completes necessary paperwork or transactions.

Checks all items received for proper identification and counts, reporting any discrepancies to Lead or Supervisor.

Fills requests and orders from internal and external customers and ensures that customers get satisfactory service in inventory support.

Assists with cycle counts and provides inventory information to other departments.

Maintains accuracy in both location and quantity for all items.

May operate a forklift or other material handling devices (requiring on-the-job training).

Requires cross training and performing work in various capacities including material handling, and Shipping/Receiving activities.

Receive and inspect incoming shipments, record inventory data, prepare orders for shipment, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, assist with inventory counts, and collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must work well and communicate with others

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

• Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
• Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Occasionally remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Constantly operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Occasionally subjected to low temperatures and high temperatures.
• Occasionally sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
• Constant light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Occasional medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged use of computer monitors.
• Possible chemical exposure to alcohol, nitrogen, Loctite, etc. Personal protective equipment is provided and required.

The salary range included in this job posting is relevant to applicants who reside or work in the Livermore, CA area only. Salary offers will depend on experience, knowledge, skills, education, and location. Actual salary may vary due to these and other factors.
