BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for meeting established data entry quality, production and timeliness goals for clerical aspects of the claims department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for efficient and accurate sorting, delivering, imaging of the BHHC's incoming mail
Prepares outgoing mail for the Postal Services in an accurate and timely manner
Proactively communicates directly to the supervisor any problems or issues that may adversely impact on the workflow procedures
Responds to both internal and external customers' requests for quick assistance and meets commitments without direct supervision
Accurately enters data and performs all procedures to ensure the Policies, Accounting Notices, Premium Audit Notices, Invoices, Payments and various mail out projects are correct
Able to effectively communicate verbally or in writing
Actively work with others to achieve unit goals and objectives
Performs other support tasks as requested and/or assigned
Comply with required project schedules/timeliness
Adherent to company policies, procedures and shared values
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATH ABILITY: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of office operations, and data-entry.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft word processing software.
$19.23 - $19.23 an hour
In accordance with the California Equal Pay Act, the starting hourly wage for this job is $19.23. This hourly wage is what the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations consistent with applicable law. The pay scale applies only to this position and only if it is filled in California. The pay scale may be different for other positions or in other locations.
