We are looking for an HR Specialist to help with our manufacturing plant based in Oakland, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

    Lead Full-Cycle Recruitment
    Manage the recruitment process from sourcing to selection for various roles, collaborating with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, complete onboarding and offboarding.

      Ensure Compliance with Local Labor Laws
      Stay well-versed in CA labor laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring that all practices are legally compliant.

        Payroll Management
        Ensure timely submission and review of timesheets for accurate and on-time payroll processing.

          Labor Contract Management
          Oversee the signing, receiving, and archiving of labor contracts, ensuring effective contract management and compliance.

            Employee Relations (ER) and Dispute Resolution
            Handle complex employee relations issues, including labor disputes and grievances, ensuring resolution aligns with company policies and legal requirements.

              Promote Company Culture
              Uphold and promote the company's culture and values through employee engagement initiatives and programs that foster a positive work environment.

                Policy Development and Compliance
                Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and a positive work environment. Stay informed of changes in employment laws.

                  HR Reporting
                  Provide regular HR and recruitment updates to clients and internal teams, ensuring transparency and alignment.

                    Administrative Responsibilities
                    Perform some additional administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by leadership.

                    Qualifications:

                    1. College degree or above, priority given to majors related to human resource management

                    1. At least 2 years of human resource experience

                    1. Comfortable using various software (EX: Microsoft suite& our own internal tooling)

                    1. Working knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations for CA

                    1. Experience working in a manufacturing environment

                    1. Experience working in a startup environment is a plus

                    1. SHRM or PHR certification is a plus
