Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of steel projects: Oversee structural and miscellaneous steel work, including stairs, railings, catwalks, and platforms.
  • Serve as the primary liaison: Facilitate communication among clients, engineers, detailers, fabrication teams, and field crews.
  • Oversee project management: Track project timelines, budgets, material procurement, and coordination with subcontractors.
  • Review project documents: Ensure project drawings and specifications align with scope and deliverables.
  • Track project progress: Address issues promptly to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with estimating teams: Manage change orders and revisions effectively.
  • Communicate effectively: Maintain ongoing communication with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance: Adhere to safety, quality, and contractual requirements at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in managing projects related to steel fabrication or erection.
  • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
  • Drawing interpretation: Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Software proficiency: Skilled in project management and construction software such as Tekla, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Fabtrol, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience: Previous experience in steel fabrication or erection is highly valued.
  • Operational knowledge: Familiarity with field operations, fabrication workflows, and change order processes.
