The ideal candidate will have a background in high-mix, low-volume environments, particularly within aerospace, defense, or similar precision-driven industries. This role is pivotal in establishing a world-class prototyping and manufacturing environment, leading the build function, and owning the planning, setup, and scaling of various capabilities. The successful candidate will be hands-on with machines and tools, as well as adept at building and leading teams, processes, and shops that can scale. A key responsibility is to stay at the forefront of novel manufacturing techniques and to ensure the integration of advanced technologies into the build process. Applicants for the Head of Build position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and prototyping. The role requires a leader who is motivated by the challenge of building something new and is excited to shape the future of aerospace. The Head of Build will be the technical authority on build strategy, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and capability expansion.
