Wireless Network Administrator

Your IT Recruiter is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Wireless Network Administrator to be responsible for the company's geofence carrier mapping (4G/5G) and auditing carrier services. In this role, you will assist the vehicle operators with day-to-day support operations related to the vehicle network. You will work closely with the business team and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and improve network stability on vehicles. As a Wireless Network Administrator, you'll:

• Perform routine carrier mapping (4G/5G) audits in assigned geo fences.
• Travel will be required to support various geo fences within the Bay Area and out-of-state.
• Develop and track key metrics (e.g., costs, data usage, etc.) for all carrier services.
• Work cross-collaboratively on routine audits of all fleet and user SIM cards.
• Function as an escalation point for vehicle operators on Tier 1/2 vehicle network issues.
• Work with the data science team on the visualization of the carrier mapping data collected.

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position. This role will be onsite and available to candidates local to the Foster City, CA area. Requirements:

• Network+ certification or equivalent level of education
• 2+ years of experience in IT (networking preferred)
• Experience with Linux, macOS, and Windows in an enterprise environment
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar ticketing and documentation tools
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
• Able to travel to support various geo fences within the Bay Area and out-of-state
