Summary:

We are representing a reputable general contractor seeking an experienced Project Executive to join their Bay Area team. With over three decades of proven success in construction management, this company is known for long-term client relationships, high-quality project delivery, and a collaborative leadership culture. The Project Executive will oversee project managers and engineers, drive successful project outcomes, and take a key role in business development, client engagement, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor project managers and engineers in executing projects and meeting client expectations
  • Ensure contractual commitments are met and financial outcomes are achieved
  • Oversee labor productivity, cost control, subcontractor performance, and change management
  • Provide technical guidance, constructability reviews, and consistency across projects
  • Drive business development by engaging clients and leading proposal efforts
  • Collaborate with estimating and engineering groups on budgets, proposals, and design development
  • Negotiate contracts, assess project risks, and manage procurement deliverables
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional organizations
  • Participate in strategic initiatives, including market expansion and profitability planning
Qualifications:
  • Multiple years of project management experience with proven leadership in construction operations
  • Strong background in budgeting, scheduling, estimating, preconstruction, and construction management
  • Skilled in project management software: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Prolog, Vista by Viewpoint, and Bluebeam
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients, owners, GC's, and architects
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering preferred (high school diploma or GED required)
  • Knowledge of estimating and engineering processes (experience in either is preferred)
  • Ability to manage teams effectively while balancing client interface and strategic company goals
