Position

Material Handling Generalist

Reports to: Receiving/Fulfillment Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Receiving/Fulfillment

Location/Shift: Burlingame, CA / 8:30am-5pm

Position Summary

The Material Handling Generalist is responsible for receiving material and fulfilling orders in compliance with Lahlouh's Fulfillment and Receiving standards. The position works in both the Receiving and Fulfillment functions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Receiving
  • Processing incoming materials for receipt into inventory
  • Record and check quantity and quality of goods received
  • Examine receiving documents to ensure delivery accuracy
  • Data entry into the WMS system
  • Issue materials to jobs and perform all transactions in the system
  • Document information related to material handling of goods
  • Deliver incoming items to the appropriate department or recipient
  • Sign for incoming shipments as received
• Fulfillment
  • Pulling materials to fulfill customer orders
  • Packing customer orders
  • Data entry into the WMS system and shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
  • Kitting & collating materials
  • Preparing materials for shipment and providing necessary documents
  • Complete all tasks accurately to meet internal/external customer requirements
• Inventory
  • Cycle counting to verify accuracy on a regular basis
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical stock count
• General
  • Help in other areas as needed
  • Ensure all warehouse doors, gates, containers, and docks are secured
  • Maintain general housekeeping
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory for efficient material storage and handling
  • Maintain labeling system on each stock item
  • Able to work overtime as required
  • Maintain daily checklist of lift equipment

Physical Demands

• The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, talk, or hear
• Use of hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls
• Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 45 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
• Ability to handle heights
• Able to pull/push more than 1500 pounds with a pallet jack

Pay Range

• $18.00 - $22.00/hour, salary commensurate with experience
