About the Role Infuse Hospitality is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher / Steward & Receiving team member to support our culinary operations. This role ensures all kitchenware, equipment, and food products are clean, organized, and compliant with *San Francisco health standards*. Key Responsibilities
* Operate commercial dishwashers; wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and kitchen tools
* Maintain clean and organized dish pit, storage areas, and walk-ins
* Receive and inspect deliveries; label products with received and use-by dates
* Rotate inventory using FIFO principles; maintain storage rooms, walk-ins, and freezers
* Support chefs and line cooks with timely turnover of tools and equipment
* Ensure all areas meet local health and safety standards, including San Francisco health code
* Assist with trash, recycling, and basic prep tasks as needed
Core Responsibilities Sanitation & Cleanliness
* Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
* Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
* Maintain clean and organized dish pit, prep areas, and storage spaces
* Support deep cleaning initiatives and scheduled maintenance
* Ensure compliance with all local health and safety standards
Kitchen Support
* Assist chefs and line cooks with timely turnover of tools and equipment
* Remove trash and recycling according to Infuse sustainability practices
* Provide basic prep support as needed (non-cooking tasks)
* Maintain floors free of debris, water, and hazards
Receiving, Storage & Inventory
* Receive deliveries, verify invoices, and inspect product quality and temperature
* Label all products with date received and use-by date
* Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
* Organize storage rooms, walk-ins, freezers, and dry storage areas
* Monitor and log temperatures and ensure storage areas meet San Francisco health code standards
* Communicate discrepancies or quality concerns to management promptly
Qualifications
* Prior dishwashing, kitchen, or receiving experience preferred
* Must speak English or be bilingual (English + another language)
* Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and events
* Food Handler's Card
