I'm currently hiring on behalf of a well-known, drywall subcontractor. The position is for a Project Manager based in the Bay Area. Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing drywall projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring scope alignment, cost control, quality, and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain, organize, and analyze project documentation for a full understanding of project scope
• Extract key bid information and maintain organized project folders for team access
• Review bid documents, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation
• Perform detailed quantity surveys aligned with project scope requirements
• Manage time effectively across client interactions, estimates, and active projects
• Communicate directly with clients to understand project-specific needs and expectations
• Prepare and tailor written proposals for each project and customer
• Follow up with clients to obtain feedback and pursue future opportunities
• Set up awarded projects per negotiated scope and extract all critical job information
• Monitor job costs, maintain quality control, and ensure budget compliance
• Manage document flow, including job changes and updated project information
• Handle multiple customers and projects simultaneously while remaining responsive
• Complete project closeout, capturing all costs and negotiating extra work as needed
