Position Purpose:

The Asset Protection Officer plays a vital role in safeguarding the company's assets by preventing financial loss resulting from theft and fraud. This position is instrumental in ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs across one or more stores. Key responsibilities include:

• Utilizing various tools to minimize loss, including monitoring CCTV footage, investigating exception reports, and auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems.
• Fostering a culture focused on shrink reduction within the store.
• Preparing detailed reports on apprehensions and recoveries, while meticulously preserving evidence relevant to incidents.
• Engaging with law enforcement personnel and, if required, providing testimony in criminal and civil court cases.
• Reporting any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty to maintain a safe environment for all associates, customers, and vendors.
• Demonstrating integrity and professionalism at all times while addressing asset protection and operational concerns from all staff.
