What You Can Expect

In this role, you will:

  • Install, maintain, repair, and operate a variety of utilities and facilities equipment, including but not limited to electrical systems, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, fire suppression systems, water purification systems, and plumbing systems.
  • Monitor and operate utilities and facilities equipment.
  • Document daily operational checklists for utilities equipment.
  • Notify supervisors of any anomalies observed in plant utility systems.
  • Perform preventive and condition-based maintenance on utilities and facilities equipment while minimizing disruption to manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct planned maintenance based on weekly and monthly schedules.
  • Execute corrective maintenance following a prioritization scheme based on asset criticality, work order type, and work order aging.
  • Maintain documentation in the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System, including work performed, fault codes, and labor hours.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various utilities and facilities equipment.
  • Participate in new equipment installations, modifications, and the commissioning of new systems.
  • Contribute to equipment reliability improvement projects and review maintenance plans to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Safely handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials, participate in contingency planning, and contribute to plant safety initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and safety inspection activities.
  • Support skills development initiatives and perform other related duties as assigned.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Strong experience with electrical systems, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and water purification systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with forklift and sky lift operations, knowledge of PLCs is a plus.
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset who works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Your Background

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing with three years of experience, or a High School diploma with five years of experience.
  • Licensed Electrician or Licensed Refrigeration Technician.
  • Forklift operator certification.
  • Hazwoper Training and knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Extensive experience in electricity, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
