Your Day at Lowe's
In your role as a Customer Service Team Member, you will warmly greet customers, assist them in finding the right products and services tailored to their home improvement needs, and enhance their shopping experience. While a significant part of your day will involve engaging with customers by answering their questions and organizing store merchandise, your specific tasks may vary depending on the department.
Customer Service Team Members work in different departments based on hiring needs and skills, including Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers upon entry to Lowe's, resolving inquiries, and providing friendly, professional service.
Assist customers in locating and managing merchandise effectively.
Restock shelves by identifying empty spaces and providing necessary items.
Accurately process orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt of merchandise.
Cross-train in various store areas to enhance overall customer service.
Prepare merchandise in your department according to customer requests (e.g., tint paint, cut pipes, bundle materials).
Guide customers through the shopping and checkout experiences.
Complete additional assigned tasks as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 6 months of experience using a computer for information management.
6 months of experience with retail technology, including smartphones and tablets.
Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
Willingness to engage in tasks that involve prolonged standing, sitting, and similar activities.
Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted; over 25 lbs with assistance or accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Certification in a trade related to your department (e.g., plumbing, electrical, hardware).

Travel Requirements
This position generally does not require regular travel; however, some occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, training, or supporting nearby stores.
Working Conditions
The work environment varies by location and may include exposure to various indoor and outdoor conditions. You may encounter different climates and potential noise from equipment. Proper training on lifting methods and equipment usage will be provided.

Pay Range: $19.50 - $21.85 per hour. Starting pay may vary based on position, location, education, training, and experience.
