Responsibilities

• Remain in compliance with all city and state regulations.


• Create and sustain a climate of industry?leading safety and facility integrity.


• Welcome each guest at retail stores with warmth and positivity.


• Provide excellent customer service to each retail store guest.


• Be an ambassador to the neighborhood and comfortable with handing out dog treats.


• Greet passersby on the street and inform them of our store hours, promos and specials.


• Complete all assigned duties, ensuring that all procedures are carried out to departmental standards, including opening and closing duties.


• Utilize opening and closing checklists.


• Develop a strong understanding of security and retail operations.


• Ensure that retail stores are prepared to prevent, defend and/or respond to any criminal activity, system failure or medical emergency.


• Follow all security procedures, including but not limited to monitoring safety of the retail and lounge spaces, checking IDs, ensuring asset protection, and de?escalating situations.


• Observe and report all breaches of security to management immediately.


• Maintain a working knowledge of all cannabis selections and products available in the store.


• Monitor retail floor and lounge to ensure optimum customer service and perform loss prevention.


• Arrive on time and take scheduled breaks for each shift.


• Participate in continuing education.


• Monitor customer activities for conditions that require immediate management response for safety; communicate and respond to any situation with the guidance of management.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.


• Valid California Guard Card (we can help obtain one if you don't yet have it).


• Remain in uniform, well?groomed, polished and professional at all times.


• High school diploma or GED.

Priority Consideration for Equity Applicants

• At the time of application, you are a member of a household that earns no more than 80% of the San Francisco or Oakland Area Median Income, adjusted for household size.


• During 1971?2016, you were arrested for, convicted of, or adjudged to be a ward of the juvenile court for any crime relating to the sale, possession, use, manufacture, or cultivation of cannabis.


• Since 1995, you experienced housing insecurity in San Francisco or Oakland, evidenced by eviction, foreclosure, or revocation of housing subsidy.


• You have or had a parent, sibling, or child who during 1971?2016 was arrested for, convicted of, or adjudged to be a ward of the juvenile court for any crime pertaining to cannabis.


• You attended a school under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco or Oakland Unified School District for five years, either consecutively or in total, during 1971?2016.


• During 1971?2016, you lived for at least five years in San Francisco or Oakland census tracts where at least 17% of the households had incomes at or below the federal poverty level.
