Job Summary
We are in search of a dedicated and proactive Wafer Maintenance Technician to ensure optimal performance of our wafer manufacturing tools. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic cleanroom environment and is eager to tackle challenges with a strong problem-solving approach.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on wafer fabrication tools using established processes and on-the-job training (OJT).
Document all maintenance activities accurately in tool logbooks and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively to diagnose root causes and enhance long-term reliability.
Collaborate with Tool Owners and Equipment Engineers to optimize tool performance and uptime.
Maintain detailed records, including PM checklists, part usage, and maintenance logs.
Engage in continuous technical skill development through available training resources.
Adhere to all cleanroom and safety protocols while maintaining high workmanship standards.
Qualifications
Required:
Strong electro-mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
Reliable and punctual, committed to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
Willingness to accommodate overtime, weekends, and flexible scheduling as needed.
Preferred:
Experience with semiconductor wafer fab equipment (Photo, Thin Films, Plating, Etch, CMP). (Bonus)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. (Bonus)
Familiarity with control systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). (Bonus)
Knowledge of failure analysis, root cause determination, and repair documentation.
Experience using DVMs (Digital Voltmeters) and standard mechanical tools.
Key Skills and Attributes
Entry-level experience in equipment maintenance or a related field.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Understanding of electrical safety and operational theory.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
