GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Retail Customer Experience Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities include making eye contact, greeting customers warmly, treating colleagues respectfully, adhering to company best practices, maintaining a tidy work environment, and ensuring attractive merchandise presentation. You will be engaged in various tasks throughout the store to meet the needs of our customers and operational goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prioritize safety in all actions and behaviors.
  • Ensure a safe shopping environment by maintaining clear pathways and reporting hazardous conditions.
  • Deliver respectful and courteous service to customers and colleagues, consistently fostering a friendly and professional atmosphere.
  • Assist customers effectively, being knowledgeable about products and responsive to inquiries.
  • Respond promptly to customer service calls and handle issues with courtesy, involving leadership as necessary.
  • Represent and uphold the company brand positively in every interaction.
  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain a clean sales area and support team cleanliness efforts.
  • Adhere to the company's appearance standards and dress code at all times.
  • Engage in daily merchandise recovery and organization to enhance store presentation.
  • Expedite the placement of new merchandise on the sales floor, aligning with presentation guidelines.
  • Participate in loss prevention efforts and operate under established merchandise protection standards.
  • Act with integrity in all transactions, safeguarding confidential information.
  • Follow cash handling procedures accurately and manage transactions efficiently.
  • Demonstrate urgency and efficiency in all assigned roles, maximizing productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly and respectful manner.
  • Basic math skills suitable for a retail environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capable of using all store equipment, including registers and handheld devices.
  • Ability to remain active and mobile throughout the shift.
  • Regularly engage in bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting activities.
  • Ability to occasionally lift over 25 pounds as needed.
