Job Description: This is a temporary position. To ensure the cafeteria is well-maintained, cleaned and stocked at all times, ensuring the cleanliness, presentation and freshness of all food items.

Responsibilities:

  • Control quality and consistency of all food served.
  • Insure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
  • Insure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on timely basis.
  • Assist in controlling food cost.
  • Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station.
  • Refrigeration and serving of cold food.
  • Maintain cleanliness of cafeteria at all times.
  • Insure food is refreshed and well-presented.
  • Insure the cafeteria is well-stocked with eating utensils, condiments, and other supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Must know how to use essential kitchen equipment.
  • Must have good communication skills, ability to stand and walk for 8 hours a day, a flexible schedule, the ability to learn food handling, sanitation, storage techniques.
  • Must be engaging and friendly and have customer service skills.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Food handler certification required upon hire.
