Marin Hilltop Hotel is undergoing an exciting transformation into a Tribute Portfolio Marriott Hotel part of Marriotts collection of upper-upscale, design-forward boutique hotels. With renovations already underway and a grand relaunch scheduled for January 2026, the hotel is being reimagined to reflect the vibrant and sophisticated spirit of Marin County.

As we move through this exciting chapter, we are looking for a passionate and service-driven Front Office Supervisor to support the Front Office operations during the transition and beyond. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership support role, has a strong understanding of front desk procedures, and is eager to contribute to a renewed guest experience.

Job Summary

The Front Office Supervisor assists in managing all front office functions and staff, working closely with managers and associates to execute daily operations including guest arrivals, departures, and service recovery. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team morale. The Supervisor also steps in for the Front Office Manager when needed and helps ensure all brand standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist with daily check-in/check-out procedures, verifying guest identity, payment methods, and room assignments
  • Ensure accurate guest accounts are set up and rates are applied correctly, including Marriott Bonvoy program entries
  • Handle payment processing, billing adjustments, daily cashier reports, and bank balancing
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and follow up to ensure satisfaction
  • Provide property and local area information, directions, and support for guest needs
  • Compile and review shift reports, logs, and contingency lists
  • Step in as acting Front Office Manager when required
  • Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting front desk agents
  • Notify Loss Prevention of any incidents reported by guests
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel front desk experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership support role
  • Familiarity with Marriott systems and procedures is a plus
  • Must be 18+ (due to handling of alcoholic beverages); TIPS certification desirable or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
