POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience for our guests. This position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms in line with our company standards and ensuring guest satisfaction at every turn.

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES

  • Commit to providing the best possible experience for our guests and team members.
  • Thoroughly clean assigned guest rooms according to our standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas, ensuring they are kept to company standards during use.
  • Stock carts and cart rooms as needed or instructed by management.
  • Report all maintenance issues directly to the front desk or the manager on duty.
  • Safeguard and report any guest property left in check-out rooms to the front desk and manager on duty.
  • Assist guests with reasonable accommodations as requested when possible.
  • Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training as stipulated by Extended Stay University.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Help clean other areas of the hotel as assigned by the manager, including the associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the hotel.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the management team.

Pay Ranges

Compensation for this position may vary based on role, level, experience, duration of employment, and location. Please note that candidates may not necessarily start at the highest or lowest end of the compensation range presented. We adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to remain stationary and navigate the hotel, handle, reach, and detect objects and controls, as well as detect scents and sounds.
  • Regularly position oneself to access lower areas, navigate heights, and perform balancing, bending, kneeling, or crouching tasks.
  • Occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds (e.g., carts and cleaning equipment).
  • Identify items in guest rooms to ensure safe work performance.
  • Frequently work in outdoor weather conditions when necessary.
  • Occasionally be exposed to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and electrical hazards.
  • Typically operate amidst moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment.
  • May be required to travel to assist at additional locations within a reasonable distance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • No prior experience or training is necessary.
