Duties and responsibilities

• Lead the development of vehicle exterior design with the goal of creating future-icon models that align with the brand DNA, integrating AI-driven design tools and advanced technologies to enhance innovation.
• Oversee the entire design process from concept sketches and design models to product launch.
• Foster collaboration with aerodynamics, engineering, and smart technology teams to deliver breakthrough innovations and integrated technical solutions.
• Establish unified aesthetic standards and a collaborative work culture across Beijing/Shanghai/Munich design teams.

Requirements

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field with a focus on AI/technology-driven design applications.
• 6–10 years of automotive exterior design experience, with expertise in sketching, model-making, and proportion studies. Proficiency in AI-driven tools and technologies.
• Deep understanding of full-cycle vehicle design and production, including AI-assisted design validation tools. Proven experience leading projects from concept sketches to tooling.

Knowledge

• Mastery of sketching/rendering software (e.g., Photoshop) and AI tools to optimize design efficiency.
• Proficient in Alias/Autodesk modeling software and digital workflows (e.g., parametric modeling, real-time rendering).
• Strong communication and writing skills. Excellent cross-functional coordination and teamwork abilities.
