Job Title: Orthopedic Technologist

Location: Rancho Mirage, CA

Duration: 13-week contract | Possible Temp-to-Hire

Shift: Day Shift

Pay: $35/Hr.

Role Overview:

Provide orthopedic clinical support in an outpatient setting, assisting physicians and PAs with patient care, orthopedic procedures, and clinic operations across a diverse patient population.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist orthopedic physicians and PAs with clinic and procedure support
• Apply and remove casts, splints, braces, and orthopedic devices
• Support patient intake, rooming, documentation, and chart preparation
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms; manage room turnover
• Maintain and restock supplies and equipment
• Assist with reductions, external fixators, and traction as needed
• Obtain patient history and support clinic flow
• Perform suture and staple removal, dressing changes, and wound care
• Process DME documentation and applications when required
• Answer patient calls and return messages within the same business day
• Collect surgical documentation, consents, and prep surgery charts
• Scan and manage patient records
• Follow clinic policies, compliance standards, and scope of practice
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Orthopedic Technologist Certification
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• High school diploma or GED (or higher degree if hired after March 1, 2025)
• Experience in orthopedic clinic or hospital settings preferred
