Role Overview

Lead the electrical engineering function, providing technical direction, people leadership, and project oversight. Responsible for engineering strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration for power and substation-related products.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute electrical engineering strategy aligned with business and regulatory requirements
• Lead and develop electrical engineers and test technicians
• Oversee design, development, testing, and validation of electrical systems for substations, switchgear, transformers, protective relays, and power distribution
• Provide technical leadership on protection & control systems, medium- and low-voltage systems, and power systems analysis
• Ensure compliance with ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and applicable industry standards
• Drive design-for-manufacturability in collaboration with mechanical, manufacturing, and project teams
• Manage engineering budgets, schedules, and resources
• Support customer-facing technical discussions and cross-functional initiatives to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction
• Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
• 5+ years in an engineering leadership role
• Strong experience with protection & control systems and substation electrical design
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex engineering projects
• Strong communication and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
