Major Los Angeles law firm seeks a service-oriented and collaborative minded Legal Research Manager. Firm seeks candidates with an ALA‑accredited MLS degree and at least 3 to 4 years of senior-level complex research and reference experience in a law firm or law library. Manager will oversee and supervise research analysts and department workflow. Manager will be responsible for providing attorneys, paralegals, and staff with sophisticated research and reference support related to litigation and other practice areas, legislative, regulatory, and judicial processes. Must be well versed in complex research and information analysis, assisting with searches and reference materials (print and electronic formats), and coordinating reference requests, services, procedures and processes. Manager will monitor library users' needs and recommend library acquisitions or discontinuations, review and update Library's Intranet research page content, manage firm and client-related emails, budgeting, and other projects and duties as needed. Must be proficient with legal search platforms and databases (Lexis and Westlaw), Microsoft Office Suite, Quest, Bloomberg, PACER, SEC filings, practice specific databases and other related systems and software. Manager must possess strong attention to detail, ability to produce accurate work product, excellent communication skills, be resourceful and proactive, and provide superior customer and client service support. While this is a hybrid position, Manager must be able to respond to research requests after work hours as needed. Salary range is $160-170k, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
