Night Lead - Cold Storage Facility (Hayward, CA)

Schedule: Sunday AM - Friday (flexible start/end times)
Status: Full-Time
Location: Hayward, CA

About the Role

We're seeking a reliable and hands-on Night Lead to oversee nightly operations in our cold-storage environment. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate night-shift employees while maintaining a strong leadership presence
• Oversee loading/unloading, product rotation, equipment checks, and dock operations
• Perform cycle counts and support daily inventory management
• Communicate with sales staff regarding customer needs, delivery schedules, routing, and incoming shipments
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and maintain detailed documentation
• Work safely in cold-storage conditions for extended periods
• Complete additional duties as assigned

• Food industry, cold-storage, and prior supervisory experience preferred
• Forklift certified (stand-up forklift and electric rider pallet jack)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong math skills and high attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and perform hands-on physical tasks
• Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime when needed
• Valid California driver's license required
• Positive attitude with a solutions-focused mindset
