Job Description
This position is a highly visible and engaged client-facing position. The Content Strategist/ Translator will work directly with our client's gaming and entertainment clients in conjunction with a fully-established account and creative project team. We are looking for a multilingual, experienced translator to function as an extension of clients' communications team. Primary responsibilities will include translating text from Japanese to English and English to Japanese for marketing, PR, internal, and corporate communications messages across all mediums (emails, presentations, videos, documents, website copy, social media posts, etc).
To be successful as a translator you should be able to think quickly and have a firm understanding of the field in which you will be translating. An excellent translator should be able to translate information that is contextually accurate. To be successful as a Content Strategist, you should have a pulse on the gaming and entertainment media landscape. Additional responsibilities as a Content Strategist will include providing strategic and unique content ideas for publication across online or digital platforms. A passion for video games and the games industry is also a major plus.

Skills and Requirements
Fluency in both English and Japanese and can provide a portfolio of work demonstrating proficiency.
Expertise in PR, Communications, social media, content publishing, or relevant field.
Experience in supporting client deliverables via project management with tight timelines.
Video gaming love.
Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field experience.
Must read and write at a fluent level in at least two languages, for this role - English and Japanese.
Must have prior experience doing translations and be able to provide proof of language fluency.
Must be able to interpret Japanese and English technical conversations, quickly and accurately
Must have a strong pulse on the latest social media/marketing trends and gaming/entertainment landscape
Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to over-communicate via multiple mediums (Slack, email, Zoom), stay organized, and be self-motivated to meet deadlines.
Strong communications skills, with demonstrated ability to write client documents, convey clear messaging in both written (client emails) and verbal formats (client meetings and presentations) with supervision as needed.
Strong project management abilities, able to balance multiple workstreams with different stakeholders, teams, and deadlines.
A focus for delivering the highest quality client service possible.
An innovation mindset that finds opportunities to optimize and improve processes/workflow.
A detail-oriented work ethic that pays attention to the little things, with strong proofreading ability.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe CC, and SRT editors.
Self-starter/self-motivation with a "can do" attitude.
Creative thinker willing to brainstorm and contribute ideas.
Must have work hour flexibility, including overtime, nights, and weekends, as needed, to meet deadlines.
