Overview

We're seeking a polished, reliable IT Technician to provide exceptional Tier 1-2 technical support across multiple client environments in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. This role combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with strong client-facing skills and requires daily onsite work at client locations, primarily in San Francisco and Berkeley.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, varied environments and delivers a professional, white-glove client experience. You'll work autonomously while collaborating with a supportive team, adapting to different technical environments and building troubleshooting roadmaps for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and user issues across diverse client environments
  • Install, configure, and support systems across Google Workspace, macOS, and Windows platforms
  • Handle onboarding, offboarding, and laptop provisioning with strong attention to detail
  • Support basic networking and cybersecurity troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls, VPN, access issues)
  • Build out, manage, and support conference room AV setups, including equipment testing, meeting prep, and resolving onsite AV issues
  • Manage basic IT infrastructure and administer common business applications
Client Engagement
  • Deliver a polished, professional client experience with excellent communication
  • Track multiple priorities and communicate timelines to stakeholders
  • Partner effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Demonstrate strong accountability and follow-through
Required Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of IT support experience in Tier 1/2 environments
  • Networking fundamentals and cybersecurity-related diagnostics experience
  • System agnostic expertise: comfortable supporting Google Workspace, macOS, and Windows
  • Strong AV experience with conference room technology, meeting prep, and equipment setup
  • Excellent communication skills: polished, presentable, and confident in front of clients
  • Ability to work onsite daily at client locations or Berkeley office as needed
  • Willingness to travel between local client sites in the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation (mileage expensed)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
Nice-to-Haves
  • Certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, etc.)
  • Experience working in an MSP or multi-client IT environment
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote management tools

About This Role

This position offers variety and flexibility. You'll support multiple clients, each with unique technical requirements, environments, and cultures. We customize solutions for each client rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. Most clients use Google Workspace and macOS environments.

When not at a client site, you'll be based in our Berkeley office.
