Company Introduction T&T Supermarkets is marking over 30 years as Canada's favorite Asian grocery store and recently announced multiple new store locations in the United States. Our growth into the US offers great opportunities within our first US flagship store, opened in 2024 in Bellevue, Washington in the Marketplace at Factoria, spanning 76,000 sq.ft. and standing as the largest Asian specialty supermarket in Washington state.We have established our regional office in the greater Los Angeles area to grow T&T Supermarket's vendor base with American food suppliers. The Role Reporting to the Construction Project Manager, the Construction Project Coordinator supports the d epartment in the planning and execution of new store construction and renovation projects across the U.S. The role involves coordinating project schedules, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to company standards. Major Responsibilities You Will: Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and tracking new store construction and renovation projects. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on schedule. Coordinate communication with internal teams, contractors, consultants, landlords, and local authorities. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, contracts, and progress reports. Participate in vendor selection and negotiation processes. Support procurement by reviewing materials, equipment, and service proposals. Track project budgets, invoices, and payment schedules in collaboration with Finance. Assist with obtaining permits, licenses, and approvals to ensure compliance. Contribute to developing and maintaining departmental systems, workflows, and documentation standards. Oversee project administration, exercise sound management judgement, and communicate with stakeholders . Travel to project sites as needed to support progress monitoring and issue resolution. Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager. You Should Have/Be: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; equivalent experience considered. 2-5 years of relevant construction or project coordination experience, preferably in retail or commercial projects. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of project management principles including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and documentation. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical system is an asset. Familiar with local building codes, permit processes, and construction regulations . Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Keen attention to details. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
