Company Introduction T&T Supermarkets is marking over 30 years as Canada's favorite Asian grocery store and recently announced the first store location in the United States. Our growth into the US offers great opportunities within our first US flagship store, set to open in 2024 in Bellevue, Washington in the Marketplace at Factoria, spanning 76,000 sq.ft. and will stand as the largest Asian specialty supermarket in Washington state. We have additional plans for growth and will also be establishing a regional office in the greater Los Angeles area to grow T&T Supermarket's vendor base with American food suppliers. The Role Reporting to the Produce Department Head (or his/her delegates), the Produce Cooler Keeper is responsible to manage produce storage area, including coolers. The position also needs to provide good customer service to our customers by fulfilling their requests, maintain inventory and workplace cleanliness. Major Responsibilities You will: Manage the receiving of products, conduct quality inspection and placing products to the store Maintain inventory and product quality; follow FIFO concept; and ensure proper display of various products Sort, pack, and label various produce products and put them in the storage & promotion coolers Maintain storage area cleanliness, wash and maintain relevant work tools are clean and well-kept Keep warehouse, display and walk-in coolers clean and tidy Follow procedures to process produce inventory control reports Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior You Should Have: Complete secondary education and above Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with products and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ) environment regularly Knowledge of basic work safety Not allergic in handling produce products Relevant experience in handling produce products is preferred Friendly and have a passion to serve our customers Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) an asset Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays Benefits Competitive Wages Paid Holiday Leave Premium Pay For Holiday Work Hours Generous Paid Time Off (Annual Vacation, Sick, Marriage, Bereavement) Medical, Dental & Vision Care Life & AD&D Insurance Employee Assistance Program 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Training 10% Off In-store Staff Purchase Discount Subsidized staff meal Birthday Cake Long Service Award Staff Recreation Activity *Conditions may apply to some of these perks.
