Export Logistics Specialist

Job Location: San Francisco, California

As an Export Logistics Specialist, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the smooth movement of our customer's ocean export shipments. You will serve as the key liaison between our customers and shipping carriers to ensure an efficient export process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and confirm transport orders to facilitate timely pick-up of shipments at their origin.
• Handle booking and booking optimization according to established internal guidelines.
• Prepare, control, and distribute all necessary export documents, adhering to regulations and internal procedures.
• Review responses from counterparts and finalize the validation of required documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain shipment status follow-up, identifying and resolving incidents to surpass customer expectations.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers as required.
• Be flexible and willing to perform other related tasks as necessary.

Skills / Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the freight forwarding industry is required, particularly in Ocean Exports.
• Strong understanding of Ocean Export regulations and documentation.
• Experience with the CargoWise system is highly preferred.
• Able to effectively communicate and address issues that arise in the movement of products into the US.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills are essential; prior customer service experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Pay Range: $24.23 - $32.31/hr. (Based on Experience)
