Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage and assist customers with a friendly demeanor.
  • Process customer transactions swiftly and accurately at the register.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, managing various forms of payment such as Cash, Check, Credit, Debit, and EBT.
  • Maintain awareness of store policies regarding cash management and restricted sale items.
  • Report any pricing discrepancies promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions while promoting a culture of safety.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere by answering questions about products and services available in the store.
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing potential conflicts gracefully.
  • Support customers of all ages and abilities with respect and empathy.
  • Follow direction and ask for help when needed to enhance the customer experience.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to ensure a seamless shopping experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Effective communication skills and a friendly attitude.
  • Basic math skills, including counting and basic calculations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous cashier or retail experience.
  • Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus.
