Minimum Requirements Upon Hire

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including responding to emergencies and providing aid when necessary.
• At least 21 years old (exceptions can be made at the discretion of the regional security director).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and good telephone etiquette.
• Practice personal hygiene and maintain a neat appearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of state certification and licensing as required.
• Satisfactory results from an initial drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record check (if applicable), along with annual first aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Certification as a Fire Guard or ability to obtain certification as a Fire Safety Director (if required).
• Minimum of one year prior experience as a Security Officer; military or law enforcement experience may be acceptable in lieu of security experience.

Position Responsibilities

As an Unarmed Bank Security Officer, your responsibilities will include:

• Safeguarding the bank's personnel, assets, and property.
• Identifying employees and authorized personnel entering bank facilities.
• Screening visitors, vendors, and other personnel for authorization upon entry.
• Ensuring property passes accompany personnel leaving with equipment or packages.
• Responding to emergencies within the assigned area and taking appropriate action as directed.
• Enforcing all post orders and adhering to company policies.
• Assisting customers, employees, and emergency responders as necessary.
• Patrolling bank premises to ensure safety and security.
• Preparing detailed incident reports documenting all actions taken during emergencies.
