About Pharmacy Services & Delivery at Cardinal Health
Join our Pharmacy Operations team, dedicated to ensuring the safe and effective coordination of pharmacy services for a variety of healthcare settings, including acute care hospitals and specialty practices. As a key player in our delivery services, you will be responsible for the timely distribution of radiopharmaceuticals and oncology medications to medical providers, adhering to safety standards and delivering exceptional service in every interaction.
Schedule
40 hours per week.
Shift: Saturday - Wednesday from 2:30am - 11:00am.
Holiday and on-call rotations may be required based on demand.
Training: Approximately 4 weeks, Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Flexibility: Must be able to adapt to different shifts and work days as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Execute deliveries on assigned routes using a company vehicle (non-CDL).
Package and prepare radiopharmaceutical medications for delivery.
Utilize a handheld device to confirm order accuracy and navigate routes.
Process returns from customers efficiently.
Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and conduct minor roadside repairs as needed.
Perform general cleaning and other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
Valid driver's license and good driving record are essential.
Previous delivery driving experience is advantageous.
Must be at least 18 years old for vehicle operation.
Ability to manage deliveries weighing up to 75 pounds.
Comfortable driving in various weather conditions at any time of day.
Capability to operate a vehicle for extended periods.
Strong customer service and communication skills are important.
Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation, including holiday work.
Flexibility to work additional shifts or overtime when necessary.
Proficient in using computers and tablets.
Customer/vendor credentialing may be required, including potential vaccinations.
