We invite you to become a part of our dynamic Information Governance Department as a Temporary Records Management Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will deliver exceptional records management support while fostering positive relationships with clients, attorneys, and team members. Your focus will be on maintaining strict confidentiality standards and ensuring that all projects are executed with precision and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Safeguard the management and maintenance of records in alignment with established policies and procedures.
Effectively process files designated for central filing and off-site storage needs.
Systematically organize files in a chronological order while maintaining an orderly and efficient file room setup.
Quickly retrieve folders and documents as requested by office management.
Support the integration of new client/matter files into the Firm's records management system.
Oversee the inventory of files housed in off-site storage, facilitating transfers and maintaining meticulous indexing of boxes.
Manage file retrieval requests utilizing RIM applications, email, or phone for both central and off-site storage.
Maintain records-related equipment and supplies, notifying the Information Management and Control department regarding any necessary orders or repairs.
Engage regularly with standard file boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
Contribute to the implementation of new records initiatives, including software upgrades and process enhancements.

Ability to lift file boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
Prior office clerical experience, including photocopying, faxing, and scanning.
Proficient in reading, writing, and editing various documents.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and RIM software applications such as iGovern and IManage is a plus.
Strong communication skills coupled with a professional demeanor.
A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position functions within a standard office environment, utilizing equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work: Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects weighing between 20 to 50 pounds frequently.
VISUAL ACUITY:
Close visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as data analysis, transcription, computer work, and extensive reading.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This position offers a competitive salary reflective of experience and location. The estimated pay range for this role is $29.04/hr - $37.15/hr.
