The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is seeking dependable, service-oriented individuals to apply for Part-Time System Service Worker (SSW) and Part-Time Utility Worker (UW) positions through one combined recruitment. This recruitment will be used to establish a single eligibility list that may be utilized to fill vacancies in either classification. (One Recruitment - One Eligibility List)
Final classification placement will be determined by District operational needs at the time of hire.
About the Positions
Both classifications perform essential janitorial and cleaning services that support BART's stations, facilities, shops, and vehicles.
Work locations, schedules, and assigned duties may vary and can include evenings, weekends, holidays, and off-hours shifts.

This is a SEIU Local 1021 Bargaining unit position. However, all SEIU members must follow the "Bid Form Process"; failure to comply will invalidate an employee's application.

The Talent Acquisition Division will screen bids/applications/resumes against the minimum qualifications. Those candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be referred to the hiring department for further consideration. The selection process may involve a skills/performance test, a written exam, and/or a panel interview.
