This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division, where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

We are looking for an energetic and driven product manager to join our growing Product and Innovation group, which is responsible for software and hardware products and services that expand and enhance the capabilities of the FreeStyle Libre platform, the world's #1 continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) solution.

This is a fully on-site role in our main Alameda, CA site OR you can choose to work from our Milpitas, CA office as well.

What you'll work on:

  • Use insights to help identify new product opportunities.
  • Identify and prioritize unmet user needs, and translate them into product requirements.
  • Collaborate with product designers to define the complete user experience.
  • Plan and execute design research and user testing.
  • Collaborate with software engineering to implement and test new features and/or products.
  • Collaborate with product marketing to produce promotional and/or educational content.
  • Support on-market activities in collaboration with Commercial teams.
  • Analyze global market trends, consumer behaviors, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities and strengthen Abbott's leadership in digital diabetes management.
  • Maintain and advance the product roadmap.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience.
  • Experience building and shipping software and/or hardware products.
  • Experience working in highly cross-functional organizations.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, proactive and resourceful with a "can do" attitude.
  • Able to think openly, broadly and strategically.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to draw conclusions from data.
  • Enjoys responding quickly and influencing people to deliver.
  • Sound time management skills, ensuring that work is produced to agreed deadlines and high standards.
  • Highly organized, focused and committed to achieving goals.
  • Thrives under pressure with tight deadlines on several initiatives simultaneously.
  • Understanding of delivering products in a regulated environment.
  • Previous experience working in health and wellness is a plus.

The base pay for this position is $112,000.00 $224,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
