Final Assembly Technician

Hollister / Fremont, CA

6 Months+ Contract

The Final Assembly Technician is responsible for the precise and efficient assembly of a finished aircraft, according to specifications and quality standards. You will be part of the Final Assembly team that integrates wings, booms, tail, batteries, harnesses, propulsion units and batteries into the fuselage

You will use test fixtures, equipment, work instructions and shop aides to ensure the aircraft is properly assembled and you will be responsible for the quality of your work. You will also contribute with ideas to improve processes and products.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Hollister location eventually transitioning to Fremont.

What you will do:

  • You will assemble components and sub-assemblies into final products, following detailed blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • You will perform quality checks and inspections at various stages of the assembly process to ensure products meet design specifications and performance standards.
  • You will utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and proficiently.
  • You will maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • You will document assembly progress, completed tasks, and any deviations or issues.
  • You will collaborate with engineering, quality control, and other departments to improve assembly processes and product quality.
  • You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An associate's degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in battery assembly, testing, and quality control.
  • You have hands-on experience in battery assembly, testing, and quality control 2
  • You have a thorough understanding of electrical assemblies, manufacturing techniques, and electrical safety protocols, and you have consistently demonstrated your expertise in these areas through your work.
