Summary
Delta Star Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Quality Auditor to ensure product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction throughout the manufacturing of power and mobile transformers. This role combines hands-on inspection, process auditing, and customer-facing responsibilities. As a key representative of the company, you'll frequently host customers during plant visits, product inspections, and progress reviews, making professionalism and customer service essential to success.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Auditor, you'll verify product quality through in-process and final inspections of electrical and mechanical components, ensuring conformance to engineering specifications. You'll promote and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015, document inspection results, and oversee corrective actions for non-conformances. You'll also serve as a point of contact for customers during inspections, providing clear communication and a positive experience.
A Day in the Life
Your day may begin on the shop floor, conducting inspections and using precision measurement tools to confirm components meet specifications. You'll record results, flag non-conforming materials, and collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Throughout the day, you'll host customer visits, guide product reviews, and present inspection results in a professional and confident manner. You'll also participate in internal audits, assist with root cause analysis, and contribute to corrective action planning. Maintaining calibrated measuring equipment, supporting employee training on quality requirements, and occasionally traveling to customer or supplier sites will round out your responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with strong skills in inspection, blueprint reading, and customer communication. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Professionalism and customer service are key, as you'll often represent the company directly to clients.
