POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our team, playing a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our high-profile clients. In this position, you will observe and report incidents, enforce regulations, and protect client property and personnel. Your duties will include responding to emergencies with appropriate force, controlling access to facilities, and maintaining a secure environment for all.

Duties Include

1. Controlling access to client facilities, ensuring that unauthorized individuals are not permitted entry.
2. Responding to emergencies and unusual situations, using escalation of force as outlined by company protocol.
3. Creating a welcoming environment where employees and visitors feel valued and safe.
4. Providing information and assistance to visitors while effectively managing visitor flow for safety.
5. Monitoring entrances and exits to prevent unlawful entry and regulating vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
6. Patrolling assigned areas to identify safety hazards and security violations.
7. Preserving evidence and securing incident scenes as necessary.
8. Documenting incidents through logs and reports as required.
9. Reporting suspicious activities to appropriate personnel.
10. Responding to various emergencies, including fire and medical situations, according to established procedures.
11. Carrying out additional duties as required for the assigned site.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Education | Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Armed Security or Law Enforcement, or two years of honorable service with the U.S. Armed Forces.

Competencies:

• Meet all state and local licensing requirements for armed security work.
• Proficient in Basic Life Support CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact across diverse populations.
• Ability to operate necessary software and technology.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires physical and mental capabilities to perform effectively, including:

• Maintaining composure during challenging situations with clients and the public.
• Potential exposure to sensitive information.
• Responding to emergencies requiring rapid judgment and escalation of force.
• Working flexible hours, including possible overtime.
• Frequent physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.
• Working in various environments, potentially under adverse weather conditions and requiring protective gear.

PAY DETAILS:
The starting wage for this role is $17.75 in most states, with California starting at $26.00. Additional compensation options may apply based on specific site requirements and responsibilities.
