Job Description:
As a IT Project Manager, you will lead application development initiatives by managing resources, schedules, financials, risks, and quality control across the full project lifecycle. This role requires expertise in both traditional project management and agile delivery, including serving as a Scrum Master and guiding teams through hybrid project management practices. You will coordinate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of projects and effective communication at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor project execution to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality standards.
  • Manage expectations and relationships with Product Owners, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Lead strategic discussions regarding product vision and backlog prioritization.
  • Develop and maintain project control documents according to enterprise methodologies.
  • Create and manage project and sprint plans, including requirements identification, tasks, milestones, dependencies, schedules, and resource assignments.
  • Provide leadership and motivate team members to meet goals and adhere to responsibilities within the hybrid agile framework.
  • Prepare reports on project status, health, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Communicate project status, progress, issues, and risks to sponsors, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Monitor project quality, schedule, and budget and take action to mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate risk and issue management to ensure transparency and effective resolution.
  • Coordinate the approval process for deliverables and project artifacts.
  • Communicate decisions impacting project quality, cost, or schedule.
  • Facilitate project meetings including scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with business relationship managers, executive staff, and delivery leadership to ensure project success.
  • Use agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban to support teams.
  • Serve as Scrum Master, coaching agile teams and ensuring adherence to approved practices.
  • Drive organizational change that improves agile team performance.
  • Ensure accurate project status, health indicators, and timekeeping data.
  • Provide reports, presentations, and project updates to all levels of management.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC policies and procedures.
  • Direct, coordinate, and track staff activities associated with the project.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
  • 6+ years of experience managing large and complex IT projects.
  • 3+ years of experience working on a Scrum team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Strong business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification.
  • 3+ years of experience using agile project management methodologies.
  • 2+ years of experience using Azure DevOps for project activities.


The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
