Meet has partnered with an exciting STEALTH start-up in the Brain Computer Interface (BCI) space based in the San Francisco Bay area. The company is developing cutting-edge medical devices and novel technology for the treatment of unmet neurological disorders. The company is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support R&D engineering and new product development efforts.

The Senior Technical Program Manager will be responsible for managing complex electrical and firmware engineering programs and team deliverables. This role will require a strong technical background in electrical/firmware engineering and experience managing R&D programs for complex electromechanical medical device products.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross functional teams through a medical device product development lifecycle (from concept to FDA filing and subsequent commercialization).
  • Manage the roles, responsibilities, goals and program deliverables for core electrical engineering team members, extended team, and supplier partners.
  • Define, plan, and manage project schedules and deliverables, and ensure appropriate core team resources are setup for success through partnership with functional managers.
  • Create and foster team dynamics for high performance.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other relevant engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in new product development within the regulated medical device industry with 3+ years being in a technical project/program manager role.
  • Experience and a track record of developing and launching novel medical products (FDA Class II minimum with Class III highly desired).
  • Experience managing R&D programs for complex electromechanical devices with software; technical engineering focus in electrical/hardware/firmware development is required.
  • Experience leading electrical and firmware development teams through a medical device product development lifecycle. Requires a thorough understanding of all functional work streams in a phase gate process and experience managing electrical component supplier relationships.
  • Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills along with effective meeting management and group facilitation abilities. Direct and effective vertical and horizontal communication skills is required.
  • Proficiency with typical Project management and collaboration tools (MS Project, Confluence/Jira, etc.)
