⚖️ NorCal Litigation Associate — Law Enforcement Defense | Oakland, CA | Hybrid (2 Days Onsite) A respected California law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate (5 years) to join its Law Enforcement Defense practice in Oakland, CA .This is an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact cases for public entities, including police departments, cities, and counties, while collaborating with a team of seasoned litigators known for their courtroom skill and strategic insight.

About the Role
  • Represent public agencies and law enforcement clients in complex civil litigation matters.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, client communication, and trial preparation.
  • Appear in court, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Work closely with experienced trial attorneys in a supportive, collaborative environment.
  • Hybrid Schedule: Must be able to work onsite in the Oakland office at least two days per week.
What You'll Bring
  • 5 years of litigation experience (law enforcement defense, civil rights, or public entity litigation strongly preferred).
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • California Bar admission in good standing (required).
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and ability to manage a busy caseload independently.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $140,000 — $220,000 (commensurate with experience)
