What to Expect Tesla is looking for an experienced BIMSpecialist. This person will bedirectly responsiblefor documenting and coordinating construction models for various Tesla facilities inBayarea.As part of the EPC group, this team is focused on designing, collaborating, and building the first home of Optimus while continue to support critical vehicle programs.The ideal candidate will have experience working with large, complex projects and be able to multi-task and collaborate with several technical disciplines.
What You'll Do

• Provide management and designexpertiseto ensure detailed,accurateBIM models; guide digital delivery for large, fast-paced projects in partnership with discipline leads and executive management

• Responsible for BIM execution plan standards and project specific BIM execution plans. To include LOD requirements and documentation

• Responsible for setup, maintenance, and clash detection for large, federated BIM models across 8-10 disciplines in cloud-hosted projects, coordinating global internal/external teams across time zones and stakeholders

• Directly responsiblefor the coordination model produced by the Design Team, TradeContractorsand otherthird-partyvendors under their direction

• Responsible for integrating the work of both the layout team and various tool-line owners working on a given project as well as coordinating the efforts of the team using the model for planning and conceptual work

• Scope of responsibility will include overall accuracy & completeness of the models, physical & operational spatial coordination, andtimelyimplementation and resolution of any issues according to an aggressive schedule

• Identifyconflicts with Civil, Architectural,Structuraland other MEP design elements and present well thought-out and cost-effective solutions

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Construction Management or Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineeringor equivalentexperience

• 8-10+ years of hands-on experience working with Trades on construction of high-tech infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)

• Provenexpertisein Revit, Navisworks and reality capture applications

• Proficiencyin AutoCAD, IFC, data interoperability and general awareness of other BIM and parametric design applications

• Experience with scripting and/or visual programming automation tools (Dynamo and Python). Mastery preferred

• Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure based cost tracking and BIM parameters

Expected Compensation $108,000 - $180,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
