About SF Civic Tech

SF Civic Tech is a welcoming and inclusive community of developers, designers, data enthusiasts, and civic-minded volunteers. Our goal is to harness creative technology to tackle pressing civic and social challenges. We are members of the Alliance of Civic Technologists.

Support SF Schools

Support SF Schools is a project run by SF Civic Tech (formerly Code for San Francisco). Our all-volunteer team includes teachers, designers, engineers, researchers, and community members.

Our goal is to strengthen communities and neighborhoods by connecting people with their local schools. Following a community schools model, people who live near a school can support and be part of the school community, even if they aren't parents of current students.

Job Description

We've recently launched our website and are looking for volunteers to reach out to school leaders and parent groups at San Francisco's public schools to ensure that our site's school profiles are accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school leaders and parent groups online or in-person to ensure website school profiles are up to date and accurate
  • Organize and track potential volunteer opportunities that schools have to offer

Ideal Qualifications

  • Familiarity with or interest in San Francisco's public schools
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Interest in education and community building
